Percy refused to leave his room. Not even to eat. Sally begged him to come out but he wouldn’t budge. His friends from CHB would come and visit him but he would barely talk. Sometimes he wouldn’t even look at them. One day he laying in his bed crying when he heard a familiar voice.
"Percy."
Percy turned to find Poseidon standing by his door. Poseidon walked over to Percy and knelt beside his bed. Percy sat up and sniffed.
"yeah?" Percy replied.
"you're starting to scare people. Whenever you feel really bad the water pipes start to shake." Poseidon said.
"I'm sorry. I just miss her so much." Percy whispered with tears running down his face.
"I know, son. I know." Poseidon whispered back.
"Why did it have to be her dad?" Percy cried.
"I wish I knew Percy, I really do, but I don't." Poseidon said with a look of sadness in his eyes.
"Can't you bring her back? I want her back so much." Percy asked with very little hope.
"I'm sorry, I wanted to so badly, and so did Athena. But Zeus wouldn't let us. He refused to bring her back. I am so sorry Perseus." Poseidon said knowing Percy was not going to take it well.
The pipes started shaking. Sally screamed and ran into Percy's room.
"What happened?" She asked, startled.
"Annabeth isn't coming back!!" Percy cried.
"Its going to be okay, Percy. You will see her again someday." Sally replied with sadness in her voice.
"I have to get back to Olympus, Percy. You will be okay." Poseidon
Percy just nodded. Everyone knew Percy was never going to be the same again.
