The seven were in the hunger games. They were going to have to kill each other. After all they did for the gods, this was how they repaid them. They were livid. The games have started. The seven immediately formed an alliance. The rest of the competitors were screwed. The seven were the strongest. Especially together. Eventually everyone but the seven were dead. The seven looked at each other and shared a final hug. Then everyone formed alliances with their loved ones and spread out within the arena. Percy and Annabeth were the final two left. They made a promise never to kill each other. One morning Annabeth woke up lying to a dead Percy. She screamed and cried. She looked at Percy and noticed a note in his hand. It said:
Dear Annabeth,
I'm sorry this is the way you must see me. I did not want you to die and so I killed myself to save you. There are things I wish to let you know: I love you. When I look at Aphrodite I see you. You are the prettiest girl I know. You make my world shine. I did something to you the night before we got put into the hunger games. I did a pregnancy test. Annabeth you're going to be a mother. I wish I could be there to watch our child grow up into the great person I know he/she be. I love you more than life itself. Goodbye Annabeth. Take good care of our child. I love you, goodbye.
Annabeth was heartbroken. She looked down at her stomach. She decided to name the baby Percy if it was a boy and Piper if it was a girl. The names of her best friends. When she was announced as the winner, she saw all the gods and goddesses. She glared at them all. But then she saw Poseidon in the back tears running down his face. She didn’t even know it was possible for gods to cry. She walked right up to him, tears streaming down her face.
"How could you? He was your son. You let him die. He deserved a better father than you. You couldn't even protect your own son. Why didn't you stop him from killing himself?" Annabeth yelled in a broken voice.
"I knew what you were planning to do the next night. I couldn't bear watch him wake up next to you and your dead child. You may hate me. But you will always be grateful for the child. At least you would have the baby to remember him by. A little piece of him. But if you had killed yourself, he would have nothing. Nothing! I saved you. I was protecting you through the entire games. Percy asked me to before the hunger games started. He made me swear on the river styx. I'm sorry Annabeth. I want you to that before he knew about the hunger games he was planning on proposing." Poseidon said through tears.
Annabeth could see the pain in his eyes. She hugged Poseidon and cried into his shoulder. When they separated, Athena walked up to Annabeth and hugged her.
"I am really proud of you baby girl. I am really sorry about Percy. I know I gave you and him a really hard time, but I knew how much you loved him. I also knew how much he loved you. You are going to do great things. I love you, Annabeth." Athena told Annabeth.
Annabeth couldn't bring herself to words. She just nodded and attempted to smile. After she left Olympus, Annabeth went to pay a visit with Sally. When she got to Sally's apartment, she knocked on Sally's door. Sally opened the door expecting to find Percy, but instead got a crying Annabeth. Sally asked where Percy was, but Annabeth just shook her head. Sally started crying and took Annabeth into her arms. Annabeth showed Sally the note and told her about Olympus. Sally was surprised to hear about the baby and when she and Sally went to the doctor, they found out the baby was going to be a boy and the due date was August 18th. Sally gave Annabeth the ring Percy was going to give her and she put it on her left hand. She never took it off. Annabeth went back to Camp Half-Blood to see all her friends. When they saw her they realized she lost Percy. They welcomed her and then started working on a secret project. They were making a shrine for the lost hero. Percy was family to everyone. Everyone was going to miss him. When they presented the shrine to Annabeth, she cried and thanked everyone. Annabeth decided to tell everyone about the baby. Everyone had tears in their eyes. That was when Annabeth realized she had to tell her father. Annabeth was going home.
